    Description

    This piece is unique, it contains a collage of my photography.  The center piece is a small pasted piece of pasted poster art that I took in Oakland in 2011 and the artist is Burt to the best of my knowledge just from what's shown on the piece.  The background image is a mirrored shot of poster and plywood decay from a wall in the mission district in SF that I took around 2017 or so.  With these collage pieces I try and match the theme and texture of the foreground and background images to synergize the effect and feel of the whole.  And like 99.9% of all Street Art and wall photography... what you see here no longer exists, these are snapshots and momentary glimpses.  Here one day and gone the next ... Momento Mori!  I have this one on a painted and treated piece of Cement Board which the photos are mounted onto and then sealed with a clear gloss polyurethane.  One last note in these collages each individual image is layered and pasted on separately to give just that extra bit of subtle dimensionality and physicality.  Ie I'm not layering them in Photoshop and then printing the flattenen image as one print.
    All pieces are one of a kind, hand-made and unique and involve my own original photography while living in the east Village of NYC from 1997 to 2008 and in Northern California since then.  All of the mounting and construction of the final pieces are done on hand here at my studio in Nevada City CA.  Everything is sturdily backed and ready to hang once you receive it and every piece also has a unique JuxtArtStudios label on back as well
